hello friends..this is s.n.j.l.sahithi from shri vishnu engineering college for women.In B.tech i was placed in VIRTUSA on jan3,2014.recently on aug23rd placed in cognizant and on sep14th.Here im writing my interview experience in cognizant.

after 2omin amcat people told that i cleared my Technical interview and asked me to go for HR
CTS hr is just normal..she asked me 2 questions
on sep16th i got mail from cts that was selected
TIPS:
my interview started at 2.30 pm and ended at 3.30pm
he:good afternoon,tell me about yourself
me:told(expected question..your introduction should be very strong.. it will impact on your further questions)
he:saw my resume and asked me about datawiring and datawarehousing

he:tell me abou your project
me:explained my project very clearly including some coding
he:asked me about all keys

he:gave me a table and asked me to find candidate key and super key

he:asked me about redundancy
me:told
he:asked me to explain normal forms
me:explained 1,2,3 normal forms.. and he stopped me and entered into another question
he:gave me one big table and asked me to reduce the redundancy

he:do u know joins?
me:explained all joins with examples
he:gave me one table and asked me to apply left join
me:solved
he:asked me dou know group by,having
me:yes sir
he:gave me one table and asked me to write querry for group by,having
me:wrote 2 queries correctly
he:asked to write nested query in group by
me:i took another 2 tables and wrote(he was impressedand said excellent sahithi)
he:explain me the diff between private and protected in java
me:told
he:what is exception handling?
me:explained clearly with some code
he:you seems very knowledged.. why didnt you placed in campus interviews
me:thanku sir,i want to be frant before you,i have already placed in VIRTUSA in B.Tech..many people sugested me dont tell about your previous job may be they wont hire you but i dont want to make any secrets before you sir.. But CTS is my dreamcompany sir..you people conducted off campus in march and at that time i have virtusa offer so my college people didnt allowed me..im waiting eagerly when you people conduct another drive..today i got a chance
he:i already guessed sahithi that u may be have an offer..no probem i also placed in tcs nd cts in my B.Tech

he:are you intresetd in mobile apps?what is you mobile?
me:mine is sony xperia-c..im intrested sir but i didnt do any projects on mobile apps till now..nd im sure i can adopt it if u train me

he:im a senior manager
me:from how many years u have been working in cts?
he:from 7 years sahithi
me:ohh dats gr8.
me:in which areas i need to improve myself sir
he:you are strong enough in technical sahithi..these skills are more than enough

me:yes mam im quite comfort with any place

be strong in your technical skills guys..improve your knowledge in c,dbms,java,sofware engineering.Read all concepts dont leave anythning..if you are technically knowledged whatever the subject they asked it will be cake walk for you..
